On page 394, it is speculated that an ERK/MAP kinase, not p38/MAP kinase as originally published, incorporated into virions can stimulate minus-enddirected MT transport. The corrected text appears below.
Adenovirus stimulates two distinct signaling pathways that promote minus-enddirected MT transport and enhance nuclear targeting, one activating protein kinase A and the other p38/MAP kinase (Suomalainen et al., 2001). It is tempting to speculate that the MAP kinase incorporated into virions could do a similar job for incoming HIV (Jacque et al., 1998).
