Supplement to Fig. 7. BS-C-1 cells transfected
with GFP-Rab9 were treated 1 h with 4 µg/ml nocodazole
and observed at 37°C. We used
nocodazole to disperse organelles away from the perinuclear
region; this also slows vesicle motility.
Focus on a GFP-Rab9-positive organelle (white arrow).
From this organelle we see a vesicle forming, moving to, and
fusing with another Rab9-positive compartment. Speed
is 10 times actual.
