Real-time imaging of an en face sequential exocytic event that occurred toward
microvessels inside an intact islet. The islet was immersed in a solution containing
0.7 mM SRB, and images were acquired every 0.8 s beginning 150 s after the onset
of stimulation with 20 mM glucose. Fusion of the secondary granule occurred
36 s after the primary event, and both granules eventually
flattened out within the plasma membrane.
