  • * RNAs encoding prolactin, Xwnt-8, Xwnt-5A, BVg1, noggin, Xgsk-3, or dnXgsk-3 (3 ng except where indicated) were mixed with β-catenin–myc or ptβ-catenin–myc RNA (1 ng) and radially injected into the marginal zone of each blastomere of a four-cell embryo.  

  • Indistinguishable embryos include those with low anti-myc immunostaining and those with multiple, isolated spots of anti-myc signal, instead of a single spot at the prospective dorsal side (D > V) or more uniform staining around the marginal zone (D = V). D, dorsal; V, ventral; n, number.
